Scoring Summary
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Senior midfielder
Jordan Alexander (Portland, ME) scored two goals and had seven assists as the Gordon women's lacrosse team remained unbeaten with an 18-17 victory over Western New England Wednesday afternoon (Mar. 28).
Sophomore midfielder
Anna Blomberg (Simsbury, CT) added four goals for the Fighting Scots who are now 8-0 overall and 2-0 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC). This was the fourth straight loss for the Golden Bears who fall to 3-6 after dropping their conference opener.
Gordon never trailed in the game after taking an 11-6 lead at halftime, although the Golden Bears got within a goal five times in the final 16 minutes, 24 seconds.
Sophomore midfielder
Kari Christensen (Standish, ME) contributed to the win by scoring three goals, including two in a 31-second span with her final score giving the visitors an 18-15 lead with 5:45 to play.

Megan Doyle (Putnam Valley, NY) scored with 4:26 left and sophomore midfielder
Kelsey Sherman (Buchanan, NY) hit the net with 3:28 remaining.
Blomberg gained the ensuing draw control and the visitors were able to keep possession and run out the clock. She had six draw controls as did senior midfielder

Freshman midfielder
Abby Illian (Hillsdale, IL) added three goals and an assist while freshman midfielder
Kelly Linehan (White Plains, NY) also scored three times. Sophomore goalie
Danielle Maguire (Braintree, MA) compiled 15 saves.
Western New England senior midfielder
Katie Toomy (Northborough, MA) had another strong outing with five goals, two assists, and eight draw controls. Doyle finished with four goals and an assist.
Freshman midfielder
Jessica Scannapieco (Blue Bell, PA) chipped win with three goals, an assist, and 11 draw controls. Sherman also tallied three goals.
Freshman goalie
Emily Castleman (Wilbraham, MA) played the first half and made five saves. Freshman
Melissa Perry (Somers, CT) turned away five shots in the second stanza.
