Danica Delia (Norwalk, CT) scored four goals with two assists to lead the Roger Williams women's lacrosse team to a 14-7 victory over Western New England Wednesday afternoon (Apr. 11).
The Hawks raised their record to 5-9 and 3-2 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference. This was the third straight loss for the Golden Bears who fell to 5-9 and 2-3 in conference play.

Deven Machette (Norwalk, CT) contributed two goals and three assists coming off the bench while junior attacker
Dana Wilfahrt (Hamilton, MA) added three goals and an assist.
Sophomore attacker
Jessica Searl (Glastonbury, CT) chipped-in with a pair of goals with the first coming with 17 seconds left in the opening half to give RWU a 5-3 lead at the break.
She then fired in a goal 47 seconds into the second half before WNE again cut the margin to two on a goal by sophomore defender
Julia Bernas (Framingham, MA) at the 25:57 mark.
The Hawks scored the next four goals to take a 10-4 lead when Wilfahrt hit the net with 19:37 to play.

Justine Sullivan (Norwell, MA) compiled 13 saves for the hosts while freshman
Emily Castleman (Wilbraham, MA) stopped 12 shots for the Golden Bears.

Liz McRoberts (Bourne, MA) led Western New England with three goals.

Megan Doyle (Putnam Valley, NY) and sophomore midfielder
Kelsey Sherman (Buchanan, NY) each had a goal and assist.
