Box Score NEWPORT, R.I.--The Western New England University women's soccer team gave up an early goal from which it couldn't recover in a 4-0 loss Saturday at the hands of Salve Regina in Commonwealth Coast Conference action at Reynolds Field. The Golden Bears fall to 4-5-1 overall and 0-2 in the conference, while the Seahawks up their record to 5-4 and 1-1.

Melissa Figueiredo scored the first of her two goals on the afternoon in the 4th minute to give Salve Regina a lead it would never relinquish.

Rachel Suntag and Tayler Mazurski combined for six of the team's 11 shots for the Golden Bears, who surrendered 19 for the game.

Both teams finished with six corner kicks.

Jacqueline McPherson made five saves to earn the shutout, while Briana Kubik stopped six shots in the WNE net.
