Women's Soccer Edged by Eastern Nazarene in Overtime

Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Mass.--Morgan Goodney scored her first goal of the season 4 minutes and 56 seconds into overtime to lift visiting Eastern Nazarene to a 2-1 sudden-victory Saturday over Western New England University in Commonwealth Coast Conference women's soccer action at Suprenant Field. The Lions improve to 4-5-2 overall and remain unbeaten in the Commonwealth Coast with a 2-0-1 conference ledger, while the Golden Bears drop to 5-6-1 and 0-3 in the CCC.

The teams traded goals in the first half as Eastern Nazarene's Jules Speno scored unassisted in the 38th minute before Emma Norden got the equalizer 7:44 later on a feed from Jocelyn Rose.

The Lions had a slight edge in shots (14-10).

Tayler Mazurski had a chance to end it for Western New England during the extra session, but her shot 13 seconds in was saved by Kristen Farley.

Farley finished with six stops while WNE keeper Briana Kubik had four.
