Box Score DUDLEY, Mass.--Western New England outscored Nichols in the second half, 2-1, but couldn't overcome the Bison's seven goals in the first in an 8-2 loss Tuesday evening in Commonwealth Coast Conference field hockey action. The visiting Golden Bears fall to 2-14 overall and 1-9 in the CCC, while the Bison up their record to 6-10 and 6-4 in the conference.

Alissa Doiron and
Jaynie Mueller potted goals for Western New England. Mueller recorded her team-tying fifth goal of the season in the 41st minute when she ran up the field and shot the ball into the lower-right corner of the cage. Doiron notched her fourth with 36 seconds remaining by getting her own rebound.
Nichols jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead 8 minutes and 22 seconds after the opening whistle, and never looked back. Amanda Broughton scored two of her game-high three goals during that span. Emalee Watkins added a pair of second-half goals off the bench.
