Box Score SPRINGFIELD, MA - Maurice Young delivered the game-winner in the 71^st minute with his first goal of the season as the Western New England  men's soccer team remained undefeated in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) with a hard-earned 2-1 victory over Roger Williams Saturday (Oct. 3) at Suprenant Field.

The Golden Bears rallied from a 1-0 deficit when Neil Williams netted the equalizer in the 57h minute.

Western New England's defense did its job after that keeping the Hawks off the board to please a large crowd attending the Homecoming match.

Trevor Sparda kicked things off with a goal at 17:33 (from Chris Chieffo) to give the Hawks an early 1-0 lead.

Kevin Strobel made four saves for Western New England while Carsten Frederickson stopped five shots for Roger Williams.

The Golden Bears evened their record at 5-5 and improved to 4-0 in the conference. The Hawks are now 4-6 and 1-3 in the CCC.
