Preseason All-American Release
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (September 4, 2020) – Senior linebacker Erich Keutmann (Washingtonville, N.Y.) of the Western New England University football team was named to the D3football.com Preseason All-America second team, the organization announced on Thursday afternoon.
In 2019, Keutmann earned All-Region second team honors after totaling 132 tackles for the Golden Bears, which ranked 5th in all of NCAA Division III. He recorded 10+ tackles in eight of Western New England's 11 games. Nine of Keutmann's tackles resulted in a loss of yards, including four sacks.
Keutmann had 23 total tackles in a 42-31 win over Endicott on November 2. He followed that up with 19 tackles at Becker as the Golden Bears clinched their fifth straight conference title. He wrapped up his junior campaign with 13 tackles and a sack in Western New England's 33-28 loss to Brockport in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
