Box Score WENHAM, Mass. (October 30, 2021) – The Western New England men's soccer team opened Commonwealth Coast Conference play this evening traveling to face Gordon College where the Golden Bears came up short 3-2.

How It Happened:
No. 5 Western New England traveled to No. 4 Gordon for the opening round of the Commonwealth Coast Conference. Michael Milazzo scored the first goal in the game at the 4:06 mark unassisted. The Golden Bears held onto their lead until the 33:15 mark when Gordon tied the game 1-1. The Fighting Scots scored again just seven minutes later to take their first lead of the game 2-1. Milazzo struck again for the Golden Bears unassisted once again only 1:23 after Gordon's second goal to tie the game 2-2 right before the half.
The second half was much more evenly matched with Gordon tallying seven shots to the Golden Bears four. In the 72nd minute, the Fighting Scots found the back of the net once again to score what would be the final goal of the game. The Golden Bears fell 3-2 to Gordon in the Commonwealth Coast Conference opening round.
