SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (March 11, 2025) – The Western New England women's swimming team saw eight of their own land on the Little East Conference (LEC) All-Academic Team, as announced by the conference on Wednesday. The eight names are double from last year's squad.
In total, 356 winter student-athletes have been recognized this season, which comes from six championship sports held by the Little East Conference, including men's and women's basketball, men's and women's indoor track and field, and men's and women's swimming and diving.
To be named to the LEC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore standing in the classroom, have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the previous semester, and have been at their current institution for at least one full academic year. 93 student-athletes were recognized from women's swimming and diving, eight from Western New England. Of those eight include

Gianna Calabrese (Watertown, Conn.),
Olivia Emanuele (Westford, Mass.),
Caitlin Guntly (Chicopee, Mass.),
Amanda Pillard (Manchester, Conn.),
Morgan Potler (Columbia, Md.),
Julia Remiszewski (Rocky Hill, Conn.), and
Amanda Robinson (Woodbridge, Conn.).
The Western New England women's swimming team finished their season in the Little East Conference Championships in mid-February, taking seventh place out of 12 teams at the event.
