SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (May 6, 2025) – Scheduling changes have been announced by the Conference of New England (CNE) to the upcoming CNE Baseball Tournament, set to begin on Wednesday, May 7. 

Western New England baseball's originally scheduled opening round game against Suffolk University has moved location and time. The two teams will now play at North Field in Beverly, Massachusetts, hosted by Endicott College, for a 1:30 PM first pitch. The winner of the game between WNE and Suffolk moves on to take on Endicott College 45 minutes following the end of the opening game. The loser of the opening round game between WNE and Suffolk will move into the losers' bracket and begin play again on Thursday, May 8, at a site to be determined following the play on day one.

As of Tuesday, May 6 at 6:00 PM, there have been no changes to the Conference of New England softball tournament. The WNE softball team will take on Wentworth Institute of Technology on Wednesday, May 7 at 1:00 PM, hosted by Nichols College. The winner of that game will take on hosting Nichols College 30 minutes following the conclusion of game one. The loser of WNE versus Wentworth will fall into the losers' bracket and resume play on Thursday, May 8, at a site to be determined following the play on day one.
