SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (January 28, 2026) – The Conference of New England (CNE) has announced the Fall 2025 Academic All-Conference Team, naming 84 Golden Bears to the All-Conference Team among field hockey, football, men's and women's cross country, men's golf, men's and women's soccer, women's tennis, and women's volleyball student-athletes.
In order to be named to the Fall 2025 CNE Academic All-Conference team, a student-athlete must have academically attained at least a sophomore status at the time of competition. First-year students who have completed credits that give them sophomore standing after the completion of the grading period are not eligible. Additionally, a student-athlete must have maintained an overall cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Lastly, only members of athletic teams in which the conference sponsors an official championship or an official conference invitational tournament are eligible for the team.
Endicott College led the CNE with 153 student-athletes named to the Fall Academic All-Conference Team. The University of New England had the second-most with 98 student-athletes named. Western New England's 84 was the third most in the conference. The University of Hartford (74), Nichols College (73), Johnson & Wales University (73), Suffolk University (73), Roger Williams University (72), Gordon College (72), Wentworth Institute of Technology (54), and Curry College (53) followed from core CNE members. Association members Husson University (28), New England College (15), University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) (8), Maine Maritime Academy (5), and Colby-Sawyer College (3) were also accounted for.
Nine teams qualify from Western New England. 17 student-athletes from WNE women's soccer lead the way, with football (15), men's soccer (12), field hockey (9), women's volleyball (9), men's golf (6), women's cross country (6), men's cross country (5), and women's tennis (5) following.
