SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (March 6, 2026) – The Western New England men's tennis team has released a 17-match spring schedule, set to begin this weekend in Hilton Head, South Carolina, with four matches at the
Spring Tennis Fest to open the spring season.
The Golden Bears played three matches during the fall season, defeating Rhode Island College, while also getting the opportunity to take on Division I Holy Cross and crosstown rival Springfield College. Western New England now shifts to the spring season, which features seven home matches at Forest Park Tennis Courts in Springfield, six road matches, all in Conference of New England (CNE) action, and four matches to begin the season in Hilton Head, South Carolina. The Golden Bears meet Mount Saint Mary College (N.Y.) to open the spring season on Sunday, March 8, at 9:30 AM. From there, the Golden Bears take on Pfeiffer University on Monday, March 9, at 1:30 PM. The University of Mount Union, which WNE has never met in program history, will be next up on Tuesday, March 10, at 4:30 PM. The final match of the spring break session takes place on Thursday, March 12, at 3:30 PM, as the Golden Bears take on Baldwin Wallace University.
Western New England returns home to open its Conference of New England schedule on Sunday, March 15, at 12:00 PM, hosting Suffolk University at Forest Park Tennis Courts. WNE then travels to the University of Saint Joseph for its first CNE road match of the year, a Tuesday afternoon tilt on March 17, at 3:00 PM. The Golden Bears play seven straight matches in CNE play, hosting Endicott College (March 21) and Curry College (March 25), before traveling to both Gordon College (March 28) and Nichols College (March 31), and rounding out the seven straight CNE matches with a home match against Colby-Sawyer College (April 4).
The Golden Bears entertain UMass-Boston for a midweek match on April 7. Four straight CNE matches round out conference play for Western New England, three of which will be on the road. WNE heads to Roger Williams University (April 8), the University of New England (April 11), and Wentworth Institute of Technology (April 18), while hosting the University of Hartford (April 14). With CNE matches wrapped up for the regular season, Western New England takes on Western Connecticut State University on April 21 for the final regular-season match of the spring.
The Conference of New England Tournament begins on Saturday, April 25, with the first-round matches, the CNE Semifinals take place on Wednesday, April 29, and the CNE Championship match will be held on Saturday, May 2. For full details on the 2026 WNE Men's Tennis spring schedule, click
