Kornacki To Take Part In NEIBA All-Star Game Monday

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (June 1, 2026) – Western New England baseball's Tyler Kornacki will play in tonight's New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association's All-Star Game, held at Fitton Field on the campus of the College of the Holy Cross.

The Golden Bears have had at least one player selected to the NEIBA All-Star Game for the second straight season, after WNE graduate Matt Lauria appeared in the game a season ago. The teams are comprised of all-conference selections from their respective conferences from NCAA Divisions I, II, and III.

Kornacki had a breakout junior campaign for Western New England this past spring, becoming one of the most consistent bats in the lineup and a mainstay at third base. Offensively, the WNE junior hit .360 over 37 games and 36 starts, collecting 49 hits over 136 at-bats. Kornacki picked up 13 doubles, three triples, a home run, and 35 RBIs for the season, slugging .522 on the year, and had a .452 on-base percentage, all career highs. Kornacki was named to the Conference of New England All-Conference Second Team following the conclusion of the season and was an All-Region member on the ABCA First Team this season.

Kornacki is one of four student-athletes from Conference of New England institutions to be named to the All-Star teams, with Hartford's Michael Featherstone, Anthony Bubba, and Julian Rondon, along with Johnson & Wales's Jack Obert, set to play in tonight's game.
