SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (June 22, 2026) – Western New England baseball outfielder
Jack Gamache has been named to the 2026 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) NCAA Division III Region II All-Defensive Team for the first time in his career.
Gamache was a mainstay for the Golden Bears in center field in 2026, making all 40 appearances in the eighth position of the field. Gamache made 94 of a possible 95 plays in the field during the season, good for a .989 fielding percentage. Gamache has made a total of 204 putouts over three seasons at Western New England, posting a .986 percentage over 110 games played.
Offensively, Gamache came around with 39 hits over 149 at-bats in 2026, picking up three doubles, a triple, and a home run, while driving in 20 runs. On the base paths, the WNE speedster stole ten bases to lead the team. In his 110 games played for Western New England, Gamache has collected 82 hits, including 11 extra-base hits, while driving in 38 runs, and scoring 52 career runs.
Introduced in 2022, the ABCA All-Defensive Team has now featured four Western New England student-athletes all-time: Paul Villeco, Aaron Cole,
Jared Kuryan (2x), and now
Jack Gamache.
