SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (September 14, 2026) – Western New England women's soccer's Liza Pinette has been honored by the Conference of New England (CNE) this week following her performance on the pitch, which included a pair of multi-point games. 

Pinette opened the week with a hat trick in a 6-0 win over UMass-Dartmouth. In just 27 minutes of action, the WNE senior found the back of the net three times over three shots on goal, helping the Golden Bears come away with their first win of the season. In Saturday's CNE victory over Nichols College, Pinette shined again, adding a pair of goals and an assist for Western New England in a 6-0 victory. Pinette took four shots in the game, picking up two shots on goal, both finding twine. Pinette's first goal of the game went down as the game-winning goal of the contest, her sixth career game-winner for WNE. 

The Golden Bears are back in action this coming Saturday, September 19, at 12:00 PM, traveling to Roger Williams University in Conference of New England action.
