JUNIOR CHRIS MAHONEY GAINS TWO BASEBALL AWARDS

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. â€" Junior Chris Mahoney (Yorkville, NY) was honored Tuesday (April 20) as the Western New England College Male Athlete-of-the-Week. He also was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie-of-the-Wee on Monday (April 19).

Mahoney, an outfielder, hit .714 (10-for-14) in six games with eight runs and eight RBI in extending his hitting streak to 12 games. He had three multi-games, including a perfect 5-for-5 with a double and two triples in a doubleheader sweep over Emerson.
