Alyssa Katz set scoring mark as WNEC beats Wheelock

BOSTON, Mass. - Senior Alyssa Katz (Cortlandt Manor, NY) scored two goals to become the school's all-time leading scorer as the Western New England College field hockey team rolled to an easy 7-0 victory over Wheelock in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) game Saturday.

Sophomore Cori Eggert (Denville, NJ) also scored twice while junior Allison Jameson (Brattleboro, VT) and sophomore Audrey Kelton (Wilder, VT) each added a goal. Freshman Samantha Malcolm (Dania Beach, FL) fired home her first collegiate goal with 18:19 left in the contest.

With her four points, Katz has a school record 93 points while Jameson ties the old mark of 92 set by Kara Acken from 1999-2002.

Western New England College now has a 9-2 record and a perfect 3-0 mark in the conference.
