MEDFORD, Mass. - No. 13 Tufts University was too tough for Western New England College Thursday taking an 18-7 decision in a battle between two of the top programs in the region.

The Golden Bears (8-5) scored the first goal of the game before the Jumbos reeled off seven straight goals for a 7-1 lead at half-time and 13-3 advantage at intermission.

Senior C.J. Annunciata (Waltham, MA) led Western New England College with three goals and an assist while senior Patrick Matthews (Middle Island, NY) contributed a goal and assist.

Tufts is ranked fourth in New England while Western New England College is tenth.
