SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (May 20, 2026) – For the second time over the last week, Western New England men's lacrosse senior Chris Catuosco has received All-American status, this time being named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-American Honorable Mention team at the faceoff position. 

Catuosco earned All-American honors last week from the U.S. Lacrosse Magazine as an Honorable Mention, and now adds All-American honors from the USILA, becoming the first Golden Bear since 2023 to earn both awards in the same season (Dylan Hanley). 

Catuosco put together his best statistical season in the faceoff circle for the WNE men's lacrosse team this season, helping the Golden Bears secure the Conference of New England (CNE)  Championship. The Commack, New York, native won 218-of-342 faceoffs (.637) across 17 games played, making 16 starts. Catuosco picked up 152 ground balls while causing a career-high four turnovers. Catuosco finishes his four seasons at WNE with 836 faceoff wins over 1,389 attempts (.602) and picked up 557 ground balls, recording over 100 in every season played. Catuosco's 836 wins and 557 ground balls are career program records. The WNE graduate appeared in 72 games for WNE, making 66 starts, scoring nine goals and adding six assists, good for 15 career points. 

WNE men's lacrosse finished the 2026 season with a 13-6 record, going 8-1 in Conference of New England play this season and won the CNE Championship over Endicott with a 10-7 victory to earn a berth into the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2023.
