SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (May 14, 2026) – Western New England men's lacrosse senior faceoff specialist
Chris Catuosco has been named to the USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American Honorable Mention Team, announced by the organization this afternoon.
The USA Lacrosse Magazine honors the top individual performers of the 2026 season. This season, 43 NCAA Division III programs are represented, while a total of 119 players have earned recognition. The Conference of New England had five total student-athletes named, three from Endicott, one from WNE, and one from Roger Williams, as honorable mention All-Americans this season.
Catuosco was the top faceoff specialist in the CNE this season, claiming the CNE Specialist of the Year award and being named to the All-CNE Second Team. The Commack, New York, native played in 17 games for the Golden Bears, making 16 starts, winning 218 of 342 faceoffs for a .637 win percentage, the highest among Golden Bears and in the CNE. Catuosco picked up 152 ground balls on the year, while scoring a goal and causing four turnovers.
The WNE senior will enter the Western New England men's lacrosse career record books in multiple faceoff categories, including faceoff win percentage (.602 – 6
th), faceoff wins (836 – 1
st), ground balls (557 – 1
st), and ground balls per game (7.73 – 1
st). Catuosco's All-American season also placed him in the program's single-season record books in faceoff win percentage (.637 – 10
th), faceoff wins (218 – 4
th), ground balls (152 – T-4
th), and ground balls per game (8.94 – 3
rd).
Catuosco guided the Golden Bears to a conference title this season, helping send the Blue and Gold to the NCAA Tournament for the 13
th time in program history. WNE rounded out the season with a 13-7 overall record, going 8-1 in Conference of New England play.
