Box Score WORCESTER, Mass. - Sophomore first baseman Tom Horgan (Westfield, MA) was a one-man wrecking crew Friday delivering four hits and six runs-batted-in to lead Western New England College to a 12-0 win over Clark University in a non-conference game.
Horgan had a two-run double in a four-run first inning, a two-run single in a four-run fourth, and run scoring singles in the sixth and eighth innings.
Sophomore third baseman Josh Jacobs (Essex Junction, VT) continued his hot-hitting with a single, double, and three runs. Senior shortstop Justin McGee (Wilbraham, MA) and freshman second baseman Ryan Kravontka (Glastonbury, CT) each had two hits and two runs while senior left-fielder Chris Mahoney (Yorkville, NY) contributed a pair of singles.
Sophomore Eric Blanchard (Worcester, MA) allowed only three hits with two strikeouts and two walks in six innings for his second win of theseason against no losses.
Western New England College is now 23-5 after winning its ninth straight game.
Former Western New England College pitching great Jason Falcon (Class of 1997) is the head coach of Clark.
