PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - The Western New England College baseball managed only six hits in dropping a 12-1 decision to SUNY Cortland Friday.

The Golden Bears scored their only run on a triple by senior second baseman Jason Connelly (Scituate, MA) who went 2-for-3 and RBI grounder out by sophomore shortstop Ryan Kravontka (Glastonbury, CT).

Sophomore designated hitter Travis Schwamb (West Springfield, MA) continued his fine play with a pair of singles in three at-bats.

For the second straight day, Western New England College didn't play well in the field committing five errors.

Sophomore Chris Anderson (Moodus, CT) took the loss for the Golden Bears who now have a 4-3 record.
