LONGMEADOW, Mass. – The Western New England College men's tennis team upset defending Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) champion Emerson 6-3 Tuesday evening (April 17) in an indoor match at the Grande Meadows Club.
Sophomore Alex Boutin (Bristol, CT) won both his No. 3 singles and No. 2 doubles matches while junior Peter Houser (Longmeadow, MA) took both his No. 4 singles and No. 3 doubles matches for the Golden Bears.
Western New England College is now 6-1 overall and 3-0 in the conference. Emerson falls to 3-2 and 2-2 in the GNAC.
