CASTLETON, Vt. - Senior Kayte Devine (New Fairfield, CT) became the first player in school history to score 200 goals as third-seeded Western New England College cruised to a 22-4 victory over sixth-seeded Castleton State Wednesday (May 7) in a quarterfinal round game of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Women's Lacrosse Championship.
The Golden Bears (15-5) will meet the winner of Thursday's game between second-seeded Roger Williams and seventh-seeded Worcester State at 3:00 p.m. Saturday (May 10) in Bridgewater, Massachusetts.
Western New England College (15-5) raced to an 8-0 lead a little more than nine minutes into the game and took a commanding 14-2 advantage at halftime.
Devine also handed out a pair of assists, giving her 50 for her career. She has 250 career points, which anks third on the school's all-time list.
Junior Lindsey Fenton (Pelham, MA) enjoyed another fine all-around outing with six goals on seven shots, an assist, five draw controls, and three ground balls.

Castleton State had only 13 shots in the game, four in the second half.
Nicole Adams had a goal in each half for the Spartans who ended their season with a 10-8 record.
