SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The second-seeded Western New England College men's soccer team advanced to the final of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Championship with a 1-0 semifinal victory over third-seeded Salve Regina Saturday (Nov. 13) at Suprenant Field.
WNEC (15-6-2) will host Brandeis (11-7-1) at noon Sunday (Nov. 14). The Judges moved to the title game with a 3-0 victory over Bridgewater State.

Eric Marcelino (Farmington, CT) tallied the only goal of the contest in the 15th minute with an assist from freshman forward

In was a hard -fought contest between The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) rivals as the two sides combined for a total of 29 fouls and five yellow cards.
The Golden Bears out-shot the Seahawks 11-5 while Salve Regina held a slight 3-2 edge in corner kicks.

Sean Healey (Portland, CT) recorded a pair of saves in the shutout win.
Salve Regina sophomore goalkeeper
Devin O'Gorman (Canton, MA) made three stops in the contest. The Seahawks conclude their season at 14-6-2.
SRU had defeated Western New England College 1-0 during their regular season meeting last month in Newport, Rhode Island.
Brandeis 3, Bridgewater State 0
In the first semifinal match of the day, fourth-seeded Brandeis defeated top-seeded Bridgewater State 3-0.

Taylor Bracken (North Andover, MA) made four saves to record the shutout.

DJ Siewierski (Stow, MA) registered six saves. The Bears end their season with a 13-6 record.
