REDLANDS, Calif. - The Redlands (CA) women's lacrosse team remained unbeaten with a 13-10 come-from-behind victory over Western New England during ALS Awareness Night Thursday night (March 17).

The Bulldogs erased a 9-6 deficit by scoring seven goals in the final 15 minutes, 38 seconds to raise their record to 7-0.

Sophomore Aimee Dewan (Alamo, CA) netted all six of her goals in the second half, including four in the final 14 minutes to key the victory. Sophomore Crystal Painter (Lake George, NY) added two goals and two assists while freshman Jackie Craycraft (Lake Forest, CA) chipped-in with two goals.

Junior goalie Ana Martinez (Pleasanton, CA) finished with 11 saves with seven coming in the second half.

Western New England led 5-3 at halftime and scored the first three goals of the second half to take an 8-3 advantage following a free position shot by junior Katie Toomy (Northborough, MA) with 23:49 remaining in the game.

Dewan answered with her first two goals and Craycraft scored at 21:10 to get the Bulldogs within 8-6 with just over 21 minutes left.

Toomy fired in her third goal of the game to give the Golden Bears a 9-6 edge at the 16:36 mark before the hosts scored five straight goals over the next 2:13 to take the lead for good.

Senior Jeanmarie Barbato (Huntington Station, NY) scored four goals for Western New England. Freshman Kelsey Daniels (South Windsor, CT) contributed a goal and two assists.

Senior goalie Marissa Bonitatibus (Yorktown Heights, NY) compiled six saves. Senior Nicole Poli (Medfield, MA) had five caused turnovers while junior Veronica Miano (Southington, CT) came up with five ground balls.

The Golden Bears, who defeated Occidental 19-9 in the first game of their West Coast trip this past Tuesday, are now 2-3.
