Jeanmarie Barbato (Huntington Station, NY) scored five goals and junior attacker
Katie Toomy (Northborough, NY) had four goals and an assist to lead Western New England to a 19-4 win over New England College in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) action on Thursday (Apr. 14) at Golden Bear Stadium.
The Golden Bears improve to 10-4 on the year with a 7-1 mark in TCCC play. The Pilgrims fall to 3-10 and are 2-7 in conference.
Western New England dominated play early, scoring the first nine goals all in the opening ten minutes of play.
Freshman
Kelsey Daniels (South Windsor, CT) and
Shelby Trebbe (Wilbraham, MA) each contributed two goals and two assists.
Daniels also managed three draw controls and three ground balls.
WNEC capitalized on a 12-4 advantage in draw controls in the first half, as they took a 13-2 lead into the break.
