Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Mass.--The Western New England University men's soccer team defeated Eastern Nazarene, 1-0, on a goal by senior tri-captain Bobby Jameson in Commonwealth Coast Conference action at Suprenant Field on Saturday. The hosts even their record to 5-5-1 overall, including a 2-1 conference mark, while the Lions drop to 3-6-2 and 0-4-1 in the CCC.

In the 27th minute, Jameson scored his second goal of the season on a feed from Dylan Ross. The defender certainly celebrated his return to the lineup after missing a couple games due to an injury.

That was all the offense Western New England would need as the Golden Bears defense made the lone goal stand up. Nick Starr made three saves to earn his fourth shutout this season.

Western New England pushed the action all afternoon as it was whistled for 11 offside calls. The Golden Bears also outshot the Lions 12 to 8 and had a decided 9-2 advantage in corner kicks.

William Campbell led Eastern Nazarene with three shots.
