Box Score WINTER HAVEN, Fla.--Amherst College used a 19-hit attack and took advantage of eight walks issued by six Western New England University pitchers to defeat the Golden Bears, 20-5, in 2015 RussMatt Central Florida Baseball Invitational action on Monday at Chain of Lakes Park 1. The Lord Jeffs won their first game in four starts this season while Western New England dips to 1-4.

For Amherst, Mike Odenwaelder went 4-for-5 with three runs scored and two runs batted in and Yanni Thanopoulos went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, a sacrifice fly, seven RBI. Thanopoulos slammed a three-run blast for a home run to cap a six-run fourth frame as Amherst took command with a 9-1 advantage.
