Golden Bears stop Eastern Nazarene 6-1 to stay perfect in Commonwealth Coast Conference

QUINCY, MA
- The Western New England men's soccer team remained undefeated in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) with a 6-1 victory over Eastern Nazarene Saturday evening (Sept. 26).

The Golden Bears scored three goals in each half to stay perfect in the conference at 3-0 while inching closer to the .500 mark at 4-5.

Chad Burke scored two goals while Colin Macdonald contributed a goal and assist.

Ryan Dickinson, Troy Remillard, and Scott Trautwein had the other goals with Luis Agrait and Nick Liccardi contributing assists.

Kevin Strobel compiled four saves for the Golden Bears.

The Lions (6-3, 0-3 CCC) averted the shutout when David Eddings scored in the 86th minute with assists from Joao Costa and Connor Hudson-Bryant. Jameson MacFarland turned away seven shots.

Western New England had a 23-8 advantage in shots.
