How it Happened:
Western New England and Endicott traded some shots early in the game. Endicott scored both of their goals within less than a minute from each other. The first goal came in minute 18, and the other in minute 19, both shot by Tiago Frazao. One unassisted, and the other assisted by Charles Badji. Golden Bears Goalkeeper Ryan Suprin didn't have any shot toward goal saves during the first half. The Golden Bears continued to fight during the half, having 8 shots toward goal compared to Endicott's 3. The Gulls goalkeeper Kyle Rosa ended up with 3 saves to end the half.
Western New England saw the better of the play in the second half as they looked to get back into the game and respond to Endicott's two goals in the first half. Goalkeeper Colin Waltsak came in the second half of action and made a big save right away on Endicott to keep the Gulls from taking a three-goal lead. WNE would seize advantage of an opportunity off a chance outside the box to cut the deficit to one goal.
Ian Alves would send a ball into the box, which found the foot of first year Mike Milazzo, who capitalized for his team leading seventh goal of the year. Milazzo was able to send a shot just by GK Kyle Rosa to give WNE just a one goal deficit. Following the goal from Milazzo, Western New England was all over the Gulls defense in the attacking end. Both Matt Remillard, and Larsen Keys took shots that went out to the right and left, respectively.
Endicott would come with a little offensive pressure of their own late in the second half. Joe Mepham took a shot from outside the box off a free kick that was shut down by Waltsak, holding Endicott to two goals. Western New England would use the momentum of the save to move on the offensive attack with just minutes left. With just 20 seconds remaining in the game, Jonny Cloth got the best chance at goal as he took a shot from just outside the box, though it was handled by Rosa for the Gulls. Western New England would suffer their third defeat in conference play with the 2-1 loss.
