BRISTOL, R.I. (April 14, 2021) – The Western New England University baseball team fell to Roger Williams, 12-4, in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon at Paolino Field.

Top Performers
Senior Sebastian Grignano had two hits and one RBI for the Golden Bears.

Jack Morin, Brandon Jenkins, Danny Roth, and Tommy Hobin each had two hits for the Hawks. Ben Bonavita hit a home run for Roger Williams.

Game Review
Western New England jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning when senior Joe Webber hit an RBI single and sophomore Vincent Caccavale scored on a wild pitch. Sophomore Sean Jamieson hit a sacrifice fly in the second inning to push the lead to 3-0.

The Hawks answered over the course of the next few innings, taking the lead in the bottom of the fourth and extended that lead to 10-3. Grignano hit an RBI single in the eighth inning to grab one back for Western New England.
