SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (June 5, 2025) – Two members of the Western New England baseball team have earned honors from the College Sports Communicators (CSC) organization on the 2025 CSC Academic All-District Team. Sophomore

Ryan Montini were both honored by the organization, the first pair for WNE Baseball to receive accolades from the organization since 2019.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Baseball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA. To be nominated for College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must participate in at least 90 percent or start at least 66 percent of their team's games, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and reach sophomore athletic and academic standing at the school.
Gamache, the Northborough, Massachusetts native and secondary education & english major, played in all 42 games for the blue and gold on the year in his staple center field position, making all but one start. Gamache hit .280 on the season over 143 at-bats, recording 40 hits, six coming for extra bases, including his first career triple against Endicott College (4/6) and his first career home run coming over Benedictine University (3/10). Gamache finished the year with two homers overall and had an on-base percentage of .354%. The WNE sophomore notched 16 RBIs for the season, recorded 15 walks, three sacrifice hits, two hit by pitches, and one sacrifice fly. The speedster led the Western New England baseball team with 14 stolen bases on the season. In the field, Gamache made 103 total putouts and assisted on two others, fielding at a .981% fielding percentage for the season.
Montini, a native of Prospect, Connecticut, studying finance at Western New England, was one of the most consistent hitters in the WNE lineup on the year, coming away with a .325 average for the year, his second straight season hitting over .300 for the year. Montini was in the starting nine in all 42 games this season in right field, making 89 of a possible 90 putouts, notching a .989 fielding percentage. At the plate, the WNE junior stepped to the dish 160 times overall, notching 52 hits, 12 of which came for extra bases, including ten doubles, matching a career high from a season ago, while hitting two home runs for the year. Montini recorded 33 RBIs in 2025, a career high, slugging at a .425% clip on the year and carrying a .431% on-base percentage. Overall, Montini picked up 28 walks, four hit by pitches, three sacrifice hits, and two stolen bases.
The Western New England baseball team finished the season with a 22-20 record on the season.
