SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (July 2, 2025) – Western New England men's lacrosse has placed six on the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's (NEILA) 2025 All-Academic Team, as announced by the organization this week. Three Golden Bears have been named to the team for a second time in their careers, while three have been placed on the team for the first time in their careers.
In order for a student-athlete to qualify for the NEILA All-Academic Team, they must adhere to the following qualifications:
- Must have been a senior or a graduate student in the 2025 season and have used up their athletic eligibility.
- Must have a cumulative grade point average (up to and including the spring 2025 semester) of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale.
- Must have been a starter or significant contributor on the field for Western New England men's lacrosse.
Three new names,
Brock Busa,
TJ Dalicandro, and
Zachary Mein are listed for the first time in their careers.
Joseph Bussinelli,
Michael Knapp, and
James Wrynn are highlighted for the second and final time in their careers.
In total, 226 student-athletes across Division III colleges and universities in New England have been honored on the NEILA All-Academic Team. The six from Western New England are part of the 43 in total from the Conference of New England institutions honored.
