WENHAM, Mass. (March 27, 2026) – WNE took the track and field at Gordon College for the first of a back-to-back weekend for the team, starting with the Jonathan Tymann Invitational. The team saw some great performances, including second-place finishes from
Olivia Kay, Nicholas Smith, and
Nolan Palmer in the women's 10,000m, men's 800m, and men's 400m hurdles.

How it Happened:
Track Results:
On the track, the Golden Bears started the day in a great way.
Olivia Kay and
Caitlin Reilly placed second and third, respectively, in the women's 10,000m event. Kay got a time of 42:16.02, and Reilly got a 43:13.07. Then,
Joshua Farrell earned a time of 4:15.32 in the men's 1,500m event and placed third. The women's 4x100m team of Amelia Dodge,
Imani Brown-Taylor,
Mackenzie Rinaldo, and
Kayla Kyles followed that with a second-place finish in their event, earning a time of 52.04.
Taylor Labadorf had a great women's 400m event, running a time of 1:03.52. Amelia Dodge would place in the top six in an individual event in addition to the relay earlier in the meet. Dodge got sixth in the 100m hurdles with a time of 18.77. The men's 800m event saw a Golden Bear place second, and it was Nicholas Smith. Smith had a time of 2:00.73 in the event. Then,
Nolan Palmer and
Jack Straut placed in the men's 400m hurdles. Palmer placed second with a time of 58.41, and Straut got sixth with a time of 1:01.41.
Imani Brown-Taylor would get fifth in the women's 200m dash with a time of 27.81. The women's 4x400m relay team of
Fallon Lynch,
Ava Bulmer,
Caitlin Reilly, and
Olivia Kay then placed third with a time of 4:52.74. Then, WNE's men's 4x400m team of Nicholas Smith,
Evan Stewart,
Sean Young, and
Pablo Tapion placed fourth with a time of 3:43.96 to end the team's time on the track.
Field Results:
In the field,
Jonathan Eylander would place sixth with a final mark of 11.29m in the men's shot put open.
Mackenzie Rinaldo and
Gabrielle Minuti would place fourth and fifth in the women's pole vault, respectively. Rinaldo had a mark of 2.60m, and Minuti had a 2.45m.
Owen Hawes and
Christopher Watkinson placed third and fourth in the men's pole vault event, respectively. Hawes earned a mark of 3.35m, and Watkinson earned a 3.20m mark.
Steel Land had a good day in the men's long jump event, earning a mark of 6.23m and fourth place. He also had a good day in the men's triple jump, placing third with a mark of 12.33m.
