SPRINGFIELD, MASS. (July 27, 2026) – The Western New England men's and women's track and field teams both earned recognition from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) this past week by receiving All-Academic Team honors.
To qualify for the team award, a program must earn a team cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher. The women's team posted a 3.48 GPA, while the men's team recorded a 3.17 GPA.
Both programs received USTFCCCA honors for the first time in program history in 2026, in just the second season of the programs' existence. To finish the season, Western New England men's track & field finished in 6
th place finish at the Conference of New England Championships, while the women's side rounded out the season by finishing 7
th overall at the event. Five individuals qualified for the New England Division III Championships, including Western New England's first conference champion,
Nolan Palmer, as well as
Kayla Kyles,
Imani Brown-Taylor,
Alex Maurer, and
Olivia Kay. In addition, five relay teams advanced to the New England Regionals, including the men's and women's 4x100 teams, the men's and women's 4x400 teams, and the men's 4x800 team.
