WENHAM, Mass. (April 25, 2026) – The Golden Bears stormed into the conference championships and left with 20 individuals earning points for the teams, including the first-ever conference champion and first-team all-conference member,
Nolan Palmer. WNE also saw two other individuals pick up all-conference honors, and the men's 4x400m relay earned a place on the all-conference second team.

How it Happened:
Track Results:
Ava Bulmer and
Joshua Farrell earned the first points on the track for WNE on Friday evening. Bulmer placed seventh in the women's 3,000m Steeplechase with a 20-second best time of 13:28.54. Farrell placed sixth in the men's 3,000m Steeplechase with a time of 10:20.45. The rest of the track events took place on Saturday. They started with the women's 4x100m relay, where
Mia Dodge,
Imani Brown-Taylor,
Gabrielle Minuti, and
Kayla Kyles placed seventh with a time of 51.71. The men's 4x100m relay team of
Jason Pratt,
Aiden Cooney,
Jack Straut, and
Jack Levesque then placed sixth in their event with a time of 44.21.
Jack Straut would earn fourth in the men's 110m hurdles with a time that matched his seed time, 15.98. Then,
Taylor Labadorf earned a best time in the women's 400m event with a time of 1:01.47. She got seventh with that time. The men's 100m dash saw
Alex Maurer place fourth with a time of 11.07. Then,
Nolan Palmer made history for the Golden Bears. He became the first-ever conference champion for the track and field program at WNE. He won the men's 400m hurdles with a time of 56.50. That earned him the gold medal and a place on the conference's all-conference first team.
Jack Straut would place fourth in that event with a best time of 58.64. The 200m dash saw
Alex Maurer earn fourth and
Jack Levesque earn sixth. Maurer ended up with a time of 22.68, while Levesque earned a 23.19. The final two track events of the day were the women's and men's 4x400m relays. The women's team of
Imani Brown-Taylor,
Kayla Kyles,
Mackenzie Rinaldo, and
Taylor Labadorf placed fifth with a best time of 4:14.92. The men's team of
Alex Maurer,
Jerzyon Harrison-Durley,
Aiden Cooney, and
Nolan Palmer placed second with a best time of 3:28.21. That place earned them the silver medal and a place on the conference's second team all-conference list.
Field Results:
In the field, the men's discus throw saw
Jonathan Eylander earn eighth place with a mark of 35.54m. Then, the women's pole vault event saw the Golden Bears pick up points through a fifth-place finish from
Gabrielle Minuti. Minuti hit a best mark of 2.75m.
Owen Hawes then placed fourth in the men's pole vault event with a mark of 3.8m.
Christopher Watkinson placed seventh with a best mark of 3.65m in that event.
Kayla Kyles earned an all-conference spot with a jump of 5.19m and a placement of third in the women's long jump event.
Jack Straut placed eighth in the men's javelin throw with a season-best mark of 42.75m.
Tanner Crane then grabbed eighth in the men's high jump event with a mark of 1.75m. The women's triple jump was a very successful event for the Golden Bears as
Kayla Kyles and
Imani Brown-Taylor placed third and fourth, respectively. Both student athletes jumped a mark of 10.38m according to the results page. Kyles' jump was a season-best mark. The men's triple jump was impressive as well for WNE.
Steel Land earned a season-best mark of 12.53m to earn sixth place, and
Johan Moulema earned a mark of 12.33m to earn eighth.
