SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (May 1-2, 2026) – The men's and women's track & field programs saw five individuals and five relay teams compete at the New England Division III Championships on Friday and Saturday at Springfield College. The team saw four best times on the day and four top 15 finishes.
How it Happened:
The Golden Bears saw
Kayla Kyles get the team started at the regional championships on Friday. Kyles competed in the women's long jump, jumping a mark of 5.01m and placing 22nd in the region.
Alex Maurer also competed on day one, running the 100m dash in a final time of 11.06. He placed 19th in the region.
Olivia Kay ended day one by running the 10,000m event. Kay placed 16th in the region, with a time of 41:59.16. The women's 4x100m relay team of
Mia Dodge,
Imani Brown-Taylor,
Gabrielle Minuti, and
Kayla Kyles placed 20th in the region, with a time of 52.07. Then, the men's 4x100m relay team of
Jack Levesque,
Aiden Cooney,
Alex Maurer, and
Jack Straut placed 14th in the region, with a best time of 43.60.
Imani Brown-Taylor would compete in the women's triple jump event and place 18th in the region, earning a mark of 10.46m.
Nolan Palmer then competed in the men's 400m hurdles. He placed 17th in the region, earning a time of 56.13. The men's 4x800m relay team competed next, earning a time of 8:10.18, which placed them 10th in the region and beat their seed time. The final two relays of the day were the 4x400m relays. Taylor Labadorf, and
Kayla Kyles running, placed 11th in the region. They had a final time of 4:14.10, which beat their seed time. The men's team concluded the meet for WNE by placing 12th in the region, with a best time of 3:27.37.
