WESTFIELD, Mass. (April 11, 2026) – The Golden Bears stood out on the track and in the field out at Westfield State University on Saturday. 20 individuals and 4 relays placed in medal position at the Jerry Gravel Invitational. This was a massive accomplishment from WNE, which was led by
Jack Straut,
Lucas Franco,
Joshua Farrell,
Jordan Billings, and
Gabrielle Minuti, all placing first in their respective events.

How it Happened:
Track Results:
The Golden Bears were on fire on the track today. Three Golden Bears picked up first-place finishes.
Jack Straut won the Men's 110m hurdles with a time of 16.53.
Lucas Franco won the Men's 1,500m event with a personal best time of 4:17.83.
Joshua Farrell won the Men's 3,000m Steeplechase with a personal record time of 10:07.84. The Men's 4x400m relay team of
Alex Maurer,
Aiden Cooney,
Evan Stewart, and
Nolan Palmer would win their event, as well. Their final time was 3:30.13. The team saw multiple silver medalists, too.
Imani Brown-Taylor placed second in the Women's 200m dash with a personal best time of 27.13.
Alex Maurer placed second in the Men's 100m dash with a time of 11.38. The Women's 4x100m relay team of
Mia Dodge,
Imani Brown-Taylor,
Gabrielle Minuti, and
Kayla Kyles placed second in that event with a time of 52.10. The Men's 4x100m relay team of
Jason Pratt,
Aiden Cooney,
Jack Straut, and
Jack Levesque also placed second with a time of 45.41. The teams combined for four individual bronze medals and a bronze medal relay team to round out the medalists on the track.
Owen McCarthy placed third in the Men's 110m Hurdles with a personal best time of 18.18.
Alex Maurer placed third with a time of 22.88 in the men's 200m dash.
Taylor Labadorf placed third in the Women's 400m event with a time of 1:01.90.
Joshua Farrell then picked up a third-place finish in the Men's 800m event with a time of 2:04.58. The Women's 4x400m relay team of
Imani Brown-Taylor,
Mia Dodge,
Fallon Lynch, and
Taylor Labadorf placed third with a time of 4:19.77.
Field Results:
The Golden Bears had a major showing on the podium in the field, too.
Jordan Billings earned the gold medal in the Men's High Jump with a personal best mark of 1.80m.
Gabrielle Minuti also won the Women's Pole Vault event, with a mark of 2.59m.
Jonathan Eylander and
Avery Simmons both placed second in the Discus Throw events. Eylander got silver in the Men's Discus, with a mark of 40.60m. Simmons got second in the Women's Discus, with a personal-best mark of 33.67m.
Jaidyn Gaudreau got second in the Women's High Jump, with a mark of 1.40m.
Dominic Burack placed second in the Men's Javelin, with a mark of 44.77m.
Owen Hawes would grab second in the Men's Pole Vault, with a personal-best mark of 3.70m.
Tanner Crane placed third in the Men's High Jump, with a mark of 1.75m. Then, Crane got the bronze medal in the Men's Long Jump event, with a personal-best mark of 6.46m.
Christopher Watkinson then placed third in the Men's Pole Vault, with a personal-best mark of 3.40m, and
Johan Moulema would grab third place in the Men's Triple Jump with a personal-best mark of 12.54m.
