SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 22, 2026) – Western New England men's lacrosse's
Jacob Roy has been named to the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's (NEILA) Team of the Week, announced by the organization this week. Roy is the fifth Golden Bear this season to be honored by the organization.
Roy led the Golden Bears in points last week across two victories, one coming in a home win over Johnson & Wales University, and another on the road at Curry College to keep Western New England undefeated in Conference of New England action (8-0). Roy opened the week with a pair of goals and three assists in a rain-soaked victory over the Wildcats, taking eight shots in the game, putting four on goal, and picking up two ground balls for the Golden Bears. To round out the week, the WNE senior added three more goals and added four assists in a road win over Curry, taking seven shots, putting five on target, and picking up one ground ball.
Roy leads the Golden Bears in multiple offensive categories this season, including goals (38), assists (29), points (67), shots attempted (128), and shots on goal (71). Roy joins teammates

The Western New England men's lacrosse team will battle for the top spot in the upcoming Conference of New England tournament tonight when they host Endicott College at Golden Bear Stadium at 7:00 PM.
