SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 27, 2026) – The Conference of New England (CNE) and the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) have revealed their final Men's Lacrosse weekly awards of the 2026 season. This week,
Chris Catuosco earned the conference Specialist of the Week award for a fourth time this season and was named to the NEILA Team of the Week for the third time during 2026.
Last week, the Golden Bears saw Kelly-Smith earn the Specialist of the Week award for the conference. This week,
Chris Catuosco earned the award for a fourth time this season. On top of the conference honor, Catuosco sees his name as part of the NEILA Team of the Week. That makes it three times this season that he has been named to that team. The Commack, New York native earned these honors by taking 18 faceoffs versus the conference's top team, Endicott College. Catuosco went 15-for-18 from the faceoff spot to earn a faceoff percentage of .833 from the spot. Number 25 only lost three faceoffs in his one game last week and scooped up nine ground balls to earn both selections.
Catuosco will lead the Golden Bears into their next game, the Conference of New England semifinals. WNE will host the Hawks of the University of Hartford on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at 7:00 PM, inside Golden Bear Stadium.
