Catuosco Wins Major Award, Eight Other Golden Bears Honored in Men’s Lacrosse Postseason Awards

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 30, 2026) – The Conference of New England (CNE) has officially released the postseason awards for the 2026 men's lacrosse season. Chris Catuosco headlines the list for the Golden Bears, winning his second major award in his four-year tenure at WNE. Eight other Golden Bears see their names as part of the all-conference teams with Catuosco.
Chris Catuosco leads the Golden Bears in their postseason awards, picking up the Specialist of the Year award and earning a spot on the All-Conference Second Team as a faceoff specialist. The Golden Bear from Commack, N.Y., posted a conference-leading .659 faceoff percentage, winning more than double the faceoffs that he lost (180-93). He also led the conference in ground balls per game, with 9.07 ground balls scooped per game. The senior scored one goal this season off a faceoff. With this selection, he earns his fourth career all-conference selection as a Golden Bear and second major award after being named the Rookie of the Year in 2023.
Jacob Roy sees his name at the top of the All-Conference First Team for the second time in his collegiate career, with 2024 being the other time. He also earned all-conference honors last season, being named to the Third Team. Roy led the Golden Bears in the regular season on offense. He posted 39 goals and 29 assists to record 68 points in 17 games played. Roy ended the year eighth in goals per game (2.29) and fourth in goals. The senior also placed fourth in assists per game (1.71) and second in total assists in the conference. Roy finished the year in third place in the conference when it came to points and points per game (4.00).
Long-stick midfielder, Kai McDonald, finds himself as a First Team All-Conference selection for the first time in his Golden Bear career after starting 16 of the 17 games that WNE played this season. McDonald was a force on defense for the Golden Bears and in transition from defense to offense. The senior from Dracut, Massachusetts, scooped 54 ground balls, placing him third on the team in that category, as well as for caused turnovers, of which he had ten of this season.
David Noel concludes the Golden Bears on the All-Conference First Team. The junior, from Wilbraham, Massachusetts, led the Golden Bears and was second in the conference in caused turnovers this season, with 43. He also placed second in the conference in caused turnovers per game (2.53). Noel had the second-most ground balls on the team and was eighth in the conference for that stat, with 67. The defender added five points to his all-conference resume, with three goals and two assists, while also winning two faceoffs.
Logan Jenkins earns his first career all-conference selection, with a spot on the All-CNE Second Team. The attackman recorded the second-most goals and points on the team, behind Roy. Jenkins scored 28 goals and 11 assists, for a total of 39 points. The sophomore from Preston, Connecticut, scooped 20 ground balls and caused two turnovers throughout the regular season. He was a constant threat for WNE this season and even placed in the top ten in the conference for shots (139) and shots per game (8.07).
Short-stick midfielder Connor Callahan earns his first All-CNE selection as part of the second team. Callahan had a career year on the offensive side of the field, scoring three goals on three shots on goal this season. Along with the offense, the senior scooped 20 ground balls, which was in the top ten on the team. The Gorham, Maine, native was tied for fourth on the team in caused turnovers, as well (8).
Thomas Labbe earns his second consecutive all-conference selection as he sees himself named to the conference's third team. Labbe recorded a career-high 12 assists for WNE this season (second overall on the team) and netted 18 goals to end the regular season (fifth overall on the team) for a total of 30 points, which placed him third on the team. Labbe also picked up 20 ground balls and caused three turnovers. A truly top-notch season for the midfielder from Brunswick, Maine.
Joining Labbe on the CNE's Third Team is Jack Gara, who earns his second all-conference selection, with the other one coming in 2023. Gara was a force on defense opposite Noel. He recorded the second-most caused turnovers, with 18, and scooped 39 ground balls, which ends the regular season in fourth place on the team. The senior from Madison, Connecticut, also scored one goal this season, which came on March 25, 2026, at the Wentworth Institute of Technology.
Rounding out the Golden Bears' all-conference selections is junior goalkeeper Jeffrey Wojtowicz, who started 14 of the 17 games played this year and truly excelled. Wojtowicz picked up a record of 10-4 in his 14 starts this season, facing 437 shots. The goalie from Shelton, Connecticut, placed fourth in the conference with a goals against average of 9.00. Wojtowicz made 121 saves this season to post a save percentage of .498 in the regular season. He also made 8.07 saves per game this season in net for the Golden Bears and led the Golden Bears in every stat category for goalies.
Connor Mahan earns a spot on the conference's Community Service Team. The CNE highlights one member of each institution's team who has shown commitment to giving back to their community. Each nominee for this team has been nominated by their head coach.
The Golden Bears will continue their season this coming Saturday, April 30, 2026, at noon. They will face off with the Gulls of Endicott College in the Conference of New England Championship held at Hempstead Stadium in Beverly, Massachusetts.
