SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Sophomore Adam Cherry (Westfield, MA) had another strong game with three goals and an assist while sophomore Brian Praetorius (Saugerties, NY) contributed a career high three goals to lead Western New England College to a 15-5 victory over Massachusetts Maritime Academy in a Pilgrim League game.

WNEC started slow trailing 4-3 after the first period before scoring five times in the second quarter to take an 8-4 lead at half-time. The Golden Bears held the Buccaneers scorless in the second and third periods.

Junior Joe Cassani (Barre, VT) added two goals and two assists while senior C.J. Annunciata (Waltham, MA) chipped in with a goal and three assists. Freshman Tim Woodford (Southborough, MA) scored twice for the Golden Bears (7-4, 4-1) who bounced back from a tough one-goal loss to No. 18 Springfield last Wednesday.

Sophomore Sean Flanigan (Sandwich, MA) led Massachusetts Maritime with three goals and an assist while junior Joe Bushy (Falmouth, MA) had a goal and two assists. The Buccaneers fall to 4-6 and 3-2.
