SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Sophomore Adam Cherry (Westfield, MA) score five goals with three assists and senior C.J. Annunciata (Waltham, MA) added three goals and three assists as Western New England College defeated Babson College 11-3 in a Pilgrim League contest.

Junior Joe Cassani (Barre, VT) contributed two goals and an assist while senior Patrick Matthews (Middle Island, NY) had a goal and assist. Freshman goalie Chris Body (Newtown, CT) played a strong game finishing with 12 saves.

WNEC (5-2, 2-0 Pilgrim League) led 4-1 after the first period and 7-1 at intermission.

Senior Jared Connell (Yarmouth, ME) led the Beavers (4-4, 1-1) with two goals.

Last year Western New England College defeated Babson 12-7 in the championship game of the ECAC Division III New England Tournament.
