DARTMOUTH, Mass. - Sophomore Eric Blanchard (Worcester, MA) scattered three hits over six innings to lead Western New England College to a 6-0 victory over UMass-Dartmouth in a non-conference game

Blanchard stay unbeaten with a 5-0 mark after striking out three and walking two. Sophomore Eric Smolin (Westford, MA) pitched two innings and freshman Chris Anderson (Moodus, CT) the last inning to complete the shutout.

Western New England College got off to a great start by scoring five runs in the first and a single run in the second.

Sophomore third baseman Josh Jacobs (Essex Junction, VT) and freshman shortstop Marvin Hyer (Cliffwood Beach, NJ) each had two hits and two runs-batted-in.

The Golden Bears now have a 29-7 record that ties the second highest win total in the program's 37-year history.
