Senior All-American Adam Cherry (Westfield, MA) also enjoyed another record-breaking performance by contributing three goals and an assist to become the school's career leader with 168 goals (breaking the old mark of 167 established by PJ Wicker from 1996-99).

Ten players scored goals for the hosts with junior Ben Reardon (Longmeadow, MA) notching a pair of goals along with two assists. Junior Jon Hayes (Waltham, MA) also hit the back of the net twice while senior Rob Ostrem (West Islip, NY) had a goal and two assists. Massachusetts Maritime Academy took a 1-0 lead on a man-up goal by freshman Brian Burke (San Diego, CA) only 2:17 into the contest. The Golden Bears came back to take a 5-1 lead after the opening period before exploding for seven goals in the second stanza for a 12-2 advantage at intermission. WNEC outscored the visitors 6-1 in the third quarter for a commanding 18-3 lead.

Burke and sophomore Matt Murray (Weymouth, MA) each finished with two goals for the Buccaneers (3-5, 1-3 Pilgrim) while freshman Connor Burke (Del Mar, CA) dished out two assists.
