PAXTON, Mass. - The Western New England College men's lacrosse team wrapped up its regular season with a convincing 18-6 victory over Anna Maria Tuesday afternoon (Apr. 27).
This was the fifth win in the last six outings for the Golden Bears who improved their record to 11-5 overall and 9-1 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC).
Fresh off a solid win over city rival Springfield last Friday, WNEC wasted no time against the AMCATS taking a 7-1 lead after the opening period and 12-1 advantage at halftime.

Tim Santye (Skillman, NJ) led the Golden Bears with three goals (all in the first quarter) and an assist.
Sophomore attacker
Curtis Serafini (Westford, MA) added two goals and an assist while senior defender
Nick Zaleski (Somers, CT) and freshman attacker
Corrigan Harreys (Essex, CT) each contributed a goal and assist.

Mike Murray (North Baldwin, NY) chipped in with two goals.

AMC junior midfielder
Luke Biggins (Sudbury, MA) tallied two goals with an assist, and 10 ground balls. Sophomore defender
Brad Peterson (North Kingstown, RI) had a goal, assist, and 13 ground balls.
The AMCATS finish their season with a 4-12 record and 0-10 mark in the conference.
Western New England College is seeded second (behind Endicott) in the conference playoffs that begin Saturday (May 1). WNEC will host seventh-seeded Curry at 4:00 p.m.
