Joe Jacobs-Ferderbar (Orchard Park, NY) scored five goals with an assist to lead the Nazareth (NY) men's lacrosse team to a 17-5 victory over Western New England in a non-conference game Monday (Mar.14) at Brien McMahon High School.
The Golden Flyers, ranked 16th nationally in the USILA Division III poll, improved their record to 3-1 with their third consecutive victory. The Golden Bears, who received votes in the weekly national poll, fall to 2-2.
Nazareth out-scored Western New England by a 10-1 margin in the second half to break open a close game.

Adam Nauerth (Brockport, NY) added a career high four goals while junior attacker
C.J. Estes (Medfield, MA) contributed two goals and two assists.
Nazareth started strong taking a 4-1 advantage after the opening period as Jacobs-Ferderbar netted two of his goals. Western New England got within one following shots by senior midfielder

The Golden Flyers answered with three straight goals before sophomore midfielder
Joe Johnson (Boston, MA) hit the net to get the Golden Bears within 7-4 at intermission.
Jacobs-Ferderbar then fired in two goals in a 1:38 span to spark a five-goal third period to give Nazareth a 12-4 margin.
