BRISTOL, R.I. – Senior midfielder
Patrick White (Milton, MA) scored four goals, including what proved to be the game-winner in the second period, as No. 19 Western New England defeated Roger Williams 6-5 in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's lacrosse game Wednesday night (Apr. 11).
The Golden Bears raised their record to 6-3 overall and stayed perfect in the conference with a 4-0 mark. The Hawks saw their record drop to 6-5 after suffering their first CCC loss in four outings

Brandon Body (Newtown, CT)
also played a key role in the win by making seven saves in the second half after senior starter
Brewster Knowlton (Somers, CT) left the game with an injury.
This was a tight game the entire way with the score tied 2-2 after the opening quarter.
White notched two of his scores in the second period as the Golden Bears held their biggest lead at 6-4 entering halftime.
There was no scoring in the third period thanks to the outstanding play of Body and RWU freshman goalie
Luke Aubrey (Norwalk, CT) who each made four saves. Aubrey finished with 13 saves in a nice performance.
The Hawks got within a goal when sophomore attacker
Todd Carson (Pennington, NJ) scored his second goal of the game with 5:33 to play, but the Golden Bears maintained their edge.
Carson also had an assist while sophomore attacker
Jon Nessa (Concord, MA) contributed a goal, assist, and six ground balls.
Junior attacker
Corbett Corrigan Harreys (Essex, CT) and junior midfielder
Corey Johnson (Maybrook, NY) each had a goal and assist for the Golden Bears who had a commanding 43-24 advantage in shots. Johnson also had a team-high six ground ball with White picking up five loose balls.
Senior midfielder
Joe Martin (Springfield, MA) took nine-of-11 face-offs
