Jon Bota had three points apiece to pace a balance Western New England scoring attack in an 18-8 victory at Nichols in a Commonwealth Coast Conference men's lacrosse contest at Vendetti Field on Tuesday evening. The Golden Bears improve to 5-4 overall and 3-0 in the CCC while the Bison fall to 2-6 on the season and remain winless in three conference games.
Senior Macaulay Gillis scored three goals for Nichols, while freshmen Chris Litchfield and Anthony Verville each potted two.
Thirteen different Golden Bears found the back of the net, including two apiece by Knapton, sophomore midfielder

Justin McKinney, and seniors
Zach Robinson,
Ryan Marcus. In addition, freshman
James Kolesar registered the first multi-point game of his career with a pair of assists.

Sophomore
Brandon Body recorded eight saves to improve to 5-4 for the Golden Bears. Freshman Seth Drouin made eight stops for the Bison, who were outshot 47-34 on the evening and lost 23-of-30 face-offs. Senior Marc Miller racked up a team-high five ground balls for Nichols while three players picked up four for the Golden Bears.
